Happy New Year - 2010

Can't hardly believe it's been a year already!
Tom's brother, John, was our first guest for the New Year.  We celebrated with some friends at the Elks's lodge.

The water was a bit nippy, but the guys went looking for lobster.  Saw some, but they were too little to keep.

Pigged out at Margaritaville.

John helped with the Sunday morning flag raising!  How 'bout them Colts!

Look Mom, I'm sailing!

It could have been a little warmer, but we didn't let that spoil our fun!

The boys went out on a friend's fishing boat and didn't catch anything but a couple of moray eels.

At lunch time, John tossed a little bread crust over the side and a swarm of fish was on it!  Next thing you know, the boat was loaded!  Apparently, they were Bermuda Chum, but I don't hink they ever really decided.  We grilled some up and it was uite light and tasty!  Not 'fishy' at all.
I think John was still suffering from a little jet lag!

We drove to Key West for the day. Here we are at Schooner Wharf.
It was a beautiful day!

And the web cam in front of Sloppy Joes!

And the sunset at Mallory Square.

Went for an overnight, and did lots of fishing but I think it was too
cold for the fish!

We went out of the sight of land!  600 feet deep,
about 14 miles off shore.  John's first time.

Had some beautiful sunrises and sets...
