We made a new friend when we were docked out back of his house in Fort Lauderdale.  Mike, who is spending time in the U.S. on business, came down and spent a week with us exploring some of the little, unnamed keys in the back country of Florida Bay.  He's originally from Sweden and is quite the sailor, having crossed the Atlantic several times.  We really enjoyed letting him drive!

Went to see the African Queen, from the movie with Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn (one of our all-time favorites).  It's permanently docked here in Key Largo.

Lignumvitae Key State Park, with our guide, Jerry.  Only accessibly via water.  Really interesting tour.  Lignumvitae is a tree with very hard wood.    Check out their website:
