Wacky Weather

Not much going on in the keys these days except some wacky weather.  We have been sanding and varnishing all the interior wood and she's looking very shiny!  It has stormed every day (mostly in the middle of the night) for the past week.  They really need the rain here, too.
Here's one of our recent neighbors...a retired guy named Wardell, lives aboard this old trimaran with no mast.  I guess he has a few stories to tell, most of them sad.  Makes you count your blessings.

We were flying our colors on race day!

Sunday started out to be a beautiful day.  We found a little pub with cheap beer to watch the race. (GO HELIO!  I cried with him!)  Got back to the boat just in time for a really nasty storm that caught a lot of weekend-warriors off guard!

But the hightlight of the day was the light-show after the storm.  It looked like the rainbow was coming right down to the boat!

Of course, the sunset was the 'icing on the cake'.
Of course, there is never a shortage of awesome sunsets...

Popeye boxers...How sexy can you get!  (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

We just picked these up at the Winn-Dixie...honest officer!  YUM YUM!

Tom went out in the dingy and took some pics.

It looked so close at first, but the further back he got, the bigger the rainbow was, and the smaller the boat got!!!

Pretty cool.  Kinda gives you goosebumps, doesn't it.
